Conducting phone interviews with an understanding of psychological safety transforms potentially intimidating conversations into opportunities for open dialogue.

 

Leveraging the team's training in conducting brain-based interviews, we infuse neuroscience principles into our telephone interview methodology.

 

This strategic approach is crucial in securing deeper, more insightful data, providing organisations with a richer understanding of their workforce. 

Interview Techniques

Psychological safety is focal at the start of each interview; we use cues to make the employee feel safe.

We listen, empathise and make the employee feel valued and heard.

Where employees make a judgement about their time with the organisation, we seek examples to ensure objectivity

We use reflective questioning to support the employee out of judgmental narratives and ask them what it would have looked like if it had gone well.

We avoid recording subjective information. Where possible, we summarise the conversation, providing a helpful narrative of the issues and opportunities.
